
The Banshees of Inisherin lead the list of nominations for the Golden Globes 2023, which were announced on Monday morning.
The film received eight nominations, including best picture (musical/comedy) and writing and directing noms for Martin McDonagh. Everything everywhere at once followed by six names, if Babylon SY The Fabelmans each got five. Overall, Searchlight Pictures leads the film distributors with 12 titles, followed by A24 with 10 and Netflix with nine.
On TV, Abbott Elementary leads the nominees with five, including best television series (musical/comedy) and best actor in a television series (musical/comedy) for Quinta Brunson. The 2023 Golden Globes, hosted by Jerrod Carmichael, airs live from the Beverly Hilton on Tuesday, January 10, at 8pm ET/5pm PT on NBC and Peacock.
Although the Globes are returning to NBC, this is the last year of the network’s contract, which means it’s still unclear where future editions of the awards show will air. While the Globes are usually held on Sunday, they fall on New Year’s Day, the last day of the NFL regular season and the Critics Choice Awards have been moved to Tuesday.
The show is produced by Dick Clark Productions and Jesse Collins Entertainment in association with the HFPA.
