Migos: Takeoff’s last Instagram story before fatal shooting

Takeoff, a member of the rap trio Migos, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, November 1st.

The rapper is 28 years old – full name Kirshnik Khari Ball.

Police were called at around 2.34am local time (7.34am GMT) to reports of a shooting outside 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in downtown Houston, where a private party was taking place. About 40.

Both Takeoff and his Migos bandmate Quavo were in attendance. Quavo – real name Quavious Keyate Marshall – was not injured in the collision. Third Migos member Offset was absent.

According to reports, after the football match, there was an argument and shots were fired. He was killed at the scene of the departure.

Celebrities and fans have mourned his death, with tributes to the late rapper pouring in on social media.

Celebrities like James Corden, Drake, SZA, Outkast, and Khloé Kardashian shared posts remembering the rapper.

So far, no suspects have been arrested with Houston Police Chief Troy Finner urging witnesses to “come forward” with information about the shooting.

The police, as well as the rapper’s fans, urged others to take down videos of the incident that have been circulating online.

Metro Boomin, who produced Migos’ “Bad and Boujee,” expressed his grief over Takeoff’s death on Twitter.

“I can’t say enough about how brilliant and passionate he was,” part of his tribute read.

James Corden said he shared “unforgettable moments” with Takeoff, fondly recalling the American rapper calling him “Big Drip”.

An autopsy reveals that Takeoff was shot more than once

The departure was shot multiple times, the coroner’s report said.

The Harris County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death as a “gunshot wound” and ruled the death a “homicide.”

A new mural honoring Takeoff has been painted in Atlanta

The Takeoff painting now sits on a sidewalk in Atlanta, Georgia.

Takeoff is a native of Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, along with fellow Migos star Offset.

The mural is located under the John Lewis Freedom Parkway Bridge near Fourth Ward Park.

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball team honors Takeoff

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball team is among the latest to honor Takeoff.

In preparation for last night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, “all Migos music for the Lakers warmed up tonight in honor of Takeoff,” Lakers press secretary Mike Trudell said.

The Lakers are also the team of former basketball player Kobe Bryant, who died in an accident in January 2020, along with his daughter Gianna and seven others.
