
The human spirit never dies. This is the basis of Call me KatThe fourth series of winter in the winter through the wall, which offered Phil the most suitable launch and Actress, Leslie Jordan, the classiest of goodbyes.
Country music legend Dolly Parton made a surprise appearance during Thursday’s tribute, appearing in a pre-recorded message at the end of the episode. After singing a verse from “Where the Soul Never Dies,” which he recorded with Jordan for his 2021 album. Comin’s CompanyParton praised her dear friend.
“I know often from memory, people talk about people. Yes, I will talk for you,” he began. “Because there’s this place over there, and I’ve got to see you there, brother. You left many people here with precious and precious memories. Everyone loves you, but I believe many of them love you more than me.
“I just want you to know that we all love you, we all miss you, and I’m sure we’re laughing out loud because of all our sadness and grief. And I know that’s the last thing you want us to be,” Parton continued. “You made us happy when you were here, and we’re glad you’re safe. I just want you to know that I will always love you. Goodbye, my dear Leslie.”

Jordan, 67, died on October 24 in a car accident. On screen, his character Phil recently flew to Tahiti with his boyfriend Jalen (recurring guest star John Griffin). During Thursday’s episode, Phil’s mom Larlene — played one of Jordan’s greatest moms ever. Cool Kids castmate) Vicki Lawrence – informed Phil’s friend that his son had decided to settle in Tahiti. She and Jalen buy a bakery on the island and eventually marry in an off-screen ceremony attended by Kat, Max, Randi, Carter, Sheila and Larlene.
After the memory of the Tahitian wedding Phil, the entire cast Call me Kat — featuring Mayim Bialik, Cheyenne Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Julian Gant and Swoosie Kurtz — her character is cut. Griffin enters with the chair that Jordan will use between takes, before Pratt slams one of Phil’s blazers into the back. The ensemble huddled around Jordan’s chair, fighting back tears, and Bialik said a few words.
“What we did here was give Phil a happy ending. What we are doing is mourning the loss of our dear friend, Leslie Jordan,” he said. “He is irreplaceable. We will miss him very much.” Then, with his colleagues, he concluded: “Love, light, Leslie.”
