special: Walk Like A Duck Entertainment and Renegade Entertainment have entered into a two-picture financing and co-production deal, tapping veteran second-unit director, stunt choreographer and fight coordinator Chris Brewster to direct their first feature film. the agreement, entitled – stop. The deal follows WLAD’s involvement in Renegade’s recently released features digging SY Murdererplayed by Renegade director Thomas Jane.
– stop is a taken-style action-thriller in which Jane will play Charlie Thorne, a former US Army Green Beret living off the grid who is forced to return to work when smugglers steal his ship, leave him for dead and try to kill a young woman friends. In a shootout between warring gangs, Thorne reenters the fray, fighting to save the girl while battling his own demons.
The film was written by Chuck Hustmyre, who is currently casting. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2023, with Paradigm reprising the North American rights.

Brewster is a SAG and Taurus World Stunt Award winner who has starred in Warner Bros.’ Dwayne Johnson actor Black Adam as Fight Coordinator and Splinter Units Stunt Coordinator. Another famous project in his resume is Marvel’s Black Panther, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Daredevil SY Ant-Man and the Wasp, to name a few. His work will next be seen in Universal’s horror comedy Renfieldstarring Nicolas Cage, Nicholas Hoult and Awkwafina, for which he is the director of the second group.
Walk Like A Duck Entertainment is a production company founded by Armstrong and Goodrich that recently completed the production of films including Andy Armstrong’s. Squealers; K. Asher Levin’s Murderer starring Abigail Breslin, Malin Akerman and Jane; Levin’s digging starring Jane, Emile Hirsch and Liana Liberato; Skelly starring Brian Cox, Torrey Devitto and John Palladino; SY salvation with Jane, Claire Forlani, Skeet Ulrich, Theo Rossi and Ashley Moore. The company also acquired the rights to the life of John Fairfax, an adventurer who crossed the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in a rowboat, and developed a project about him with his wife Tiffany Fairfax.
Jane and Penn founded Renegade Entertainment in 2019, and this year the company produced and released its first scripted series.
