World Cup stats: France’s Olivier Giroud joins Golden Boot conversation and makes history in the process

The 2022 World Cup is underway and we already have four players with at least two goals to heat up the Golden Boot race. The latest to score a brace is France’s Olivier Giroud, who equaled Thierry Henry for the most goals ever scored in the iconic Les Bleus shirt with 51 in one game. 4-1 win over Australia in the opening match of the group stage.
